Opening multiple termbases separately

hi all,

in some cases it is useful to open several termbases separately, otherwise for searching or editing you always have to change the default termbase which often messes up filter settings and entry models (so you need to close and restart Multiterm).

In Windows you can by default launch multiple instances of Multiterm (e.g. as admin), but in corporate environments you can't. So I'd like to have this feature by default.

Bruno

  • Hi Jutta,

thanks for your feedback. When opening multiple termbases the filter settings, entry models, hitlists etc. are lost when switching from one TB to another. So in the end it's easier to open only one TB at a time. Opening several termbases is useful only when you want to perform searches, but for editing termbases or managing several termbases independently one from another, the current situation is not efficient.

    Regards,

    Bruno

  • I agree, it is quite cumbersome to first close the active Termbase before being able to open another one. Why is it not possible to simply open two or more termbases and then switch from one to the other?
