Specify TMs By Project

Hello,

I manage translations for several products that deliver at roughly the same time. I find myself having to switch reconfigure the TM setup quite frequently, as I switch between projects.

It would be nice if we could specify the TMs by project (or even better, by product) and if these TM settings were saved.

  • Improving the way how and where settings are stored is on the list of the development team, but they are planning these enhancements in a much larger scope. There are more settings than just the TM setup that needs to be stored in the project instead of the computers user data.

    In the meantime there is a very simple solution to avoid frequent reconfigurations of TM and validation setting. Using the command line switch /profilefolder (See online help for more details) all the settings can be stored and loaded from a directory which allows you to easily handle different product or project specific settings. I use this on a daily basis to protect my demo settings from being changed by other projects.
