Asian character count

I would like to be able to count Asian characters in Trados exactly the same way as MS Word (including punctuation, excluding non-Asian words).

I always quote this way for my direct clients who do not have any knowledge of CAT tools because it is more transparent. If the client sends me a Word doc, it’s easy to check the MS Word count, but it’s less convenient if they send me some other file format like Excel or Powerpoint.
