Not Considering

This goal can be more effectively achieved using dedicated tools such as PowerShell or specialised applications designed for software deployment and removal.

To manage multiple PC installations, I recommend using PowerShell scripts or tools like Microsoft's Deployment Toolkit (MDT) or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). These solutions allow for automation and the mass deployment of apps or plugins across multiple machines simultaneously. PowerShell, in particular, offers robust scripting capabilities that can automate both installation and uninstallation processes, streamlining tasks that would otherwise require manual intervention.

Integrating such advanced features into the Migration Utility app would be outside its original purpose, making dedicated deployment tools a more fitting solution for managing application transfers.

More Plug-in and App installation

In order to manage more PC installations, I suggest a way to install (or uninstall) more apps or Plug-in in a time. Additionally could be done an improvement of 'Migration Utility app' that allows the 'migration' (considering also the apps) from PC to another one.

kind regards

  • Maybe worth noting that the migration tool does support migration of apps now... but only from one version of Studio to another on the same PC.  I think when we do the proper appstore integration into Studio then this will solve the problem you mention of migration.

The idea of installing more than one plugin at a time is a separate one and maybe a useful feature for admins guys setting up machines so they have the same configuration with a lit of approved apps.  I think relatively simple to do now with simple scripting, but perhaps worth a small utility for it  on the appstore.
