Add ability to test file filters without creating a project

It would be beneficial to be able to test filters directly in TE similar to how you can test in Studio. Including non-XML filetypes such as Properties files.

I see this was marked as idea delivered, but it is only partially delivered. The release was only for XML-based files. There are other file types that this is not yet released for, such as *.properties.
