keep deleted users/vendors visible in completed/archived projects

If a user/vendor is deleted from the Cloud it is also not visible in any projects they were involved in anymore. For any projects they were involved years ago, we cannot see who worked on that project if there is an issue with this project. It would be great to at least have the choice to decide whether to retain user details upon deletion.

When user is deleted, we keep anonymized data in the reports and bilingual content.

This was also the answer from your colleagues from RWS Support. But since they also were not sure, they suggested to post this as an idea. Can you please double check if it is against the principles of GDPR for sure or not. How should we then keep track of who translated past projects?

I'm not sure that this requirement is not against the principles of GDPR, specifically right for personal data deletion.
