A delicate sound triggered by each recognized term can greatly improve the translation process when using a termbase in Trados. Translator's eyes are extremely busy during the translation process and, in many types of projects, checking whether a term has been recognized at each new segment adds quite a bit to stress and fatigue.
Compared to the old Trados interface, the current red lines and term recognition window are rather weak alert signals. When a few segments go by without a single recognition, oversights of the next hit happen way too easily. And they have a high cost in terms of checking and remediation time and/or quality loss|
Acoustic recognition notifications would have a dramatic effect on productivity and precision, right away.
