F11 is available for this already - would need more details.

Add a fullscreen mode for Studio

Once the file is converted to sdlxliff and the editor mode opens I often see that a large number of users don't really need to see anything on the screen except for the segments and TM window (+term recognition window for around 50% of users). No navigation pane is necessary, no ribbon, menu. That's why I think fullscreen mode would be perfect - pressing F11 (or any other shortcut) would allow using all of the work space of your screen. And you could go back to regular view at any time.

Pressing F11 currently leaves a minimized left pane and top menu. Also some fragments of other minimized windows are visible. I'm referring to a real full screen view similar to the web browsers, where the entire application menu is hidden. It may only add 10% more space to the editing view, but that's always worth the effort.

  • Doesn't pressing F11 already do that?  I guess you need to be more specific about your idea here.
