Add the name of a MT provider in the Translation Results window.

I generally use 3-4 MT engines when translating, but I've found that depending on the type of the text one engine may be more reliable than others.

The problem is that in the TR window you can't see which engine the results come from unless you click on them individually. Then at the bottom of the pane, the name of the engine appears.

I think it would be much more convenient, if the name of the engine (could be shortened) appeared right next to the results for us to be able to identify them immediately.

  • I do agree with that, definitely. I am having the same problem, but with Translation Memories. It would be awesome if you had another column (as it is now, you only have 2 columns: Source and Target. Adding a third column at the right saying which Transltion Memory or MT Engine you are using would be fantastic. The same problem the original commenter has with Machine Translation engines, I have with Translation Memories. I often work with several Translation Memories, but some are more reliable than others. That is, a 80% translation from a realiable source would be more useful (in terms of terminology used, at least) than a 90% unrealiable source. And I can't solve this with a Penalty bonus to the unreliable source because, sometimes the unrealiable source IS not that bad in a particular segment.
