Allow users to specify the location of a termbase while creating the termbase during project creation

Currently all MultiTerm termbases that you create while in the project creation window are saved to \Documents.

The user is not offered any possibiity to specify the location. I find this to be an illogical limitation.

Please add the possibility for users to specify the location of the termbase. In particular, most users would want the project termbase to be created in the specified project folder.

  • Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the explanation. But IMHO, if you wanted to make this simple and easy for users, you would have put the termbase into the project folder by default. All my students have the same question..... where the hell is my termbase? They expect it to be in the project folder, and I am at a complete loss as to why that isn't the way it works.

  • Hi Kara,

Thanks for this suggestion. The thinking was to make it very easy to create a termbase "on the fly" when creating a project in Studio, so we did not want to make this process unnecessarily complex by adding all the bells and whistles that the user has when using MultiTerm Desktop to create termbases. We'll take this on board, however, to see if we can make this process also more flexible in Studio during project creation, and not just have this sophistication in MultiTerm.

    Thanks, Daniel
