Can we have auto-propagation to simply copy/mimic the way how the first repeated instance was translated, and not alter the auto-propagated translation with Windows OS's regional settings or any other auto-substitution settings?
So, if I translate "08:00" as "08:00".
In the next repetition segment "06:00",
Trados Studio should translate "06:00" as "06:00"; Trados Studio should not translate "06:00" as "6:00 AM" (and add it to TM!)
Or, if auto-propagation must work with auto-substitution, can the auto-substituted segments be shown as 99% matches instead of 100% matches?
When an auto-substituted segment is shown as a 100% match, people would by default "trust" the translation and might have overlooked the fact that Trados Studio has introduced an unwanted translation (translate "06:00" as "6:00 AM") which might be considered a serious translation error in some cases.
Showing auto-substituted segments as fuzzy matches would also remind translators to check if the current auto-substitution settings are as desired or if customization is needed, or in the case where a customization is not possible, translators would be aware that there are potential errors to fix before delivery.
