When setting up a project with the New Project Wizard, the Due Date field should always have the current date and next full hour as the default (pre-set) value instead of some random date in the past (even if the template was based on a project with a given date and time) - or at least the option to have the current date and time shown by default should be available somewhere in settings. It really makes no sense that the pre-set date and time is in the past.

Also the "calender view" where you can click a date should always be shown, not only when you open it by clicking the very small arrow - there is plenty of room in the window, and it would make it a lot more user-friendly to set up a project if you could save several clicks in order to select a date.
