Dear Community!
1. would highly appreciate if the next Studio Update included a feature for filtering mixed-source language files by language.
We often come across documents drafted in two, even three languages. In most cases, modifications are added to the main document (needs no translation) and are not easily detectable "manually", i.e. going from segment to segment.
If not highlighted by the customer, the task can become really time-consuming in a 25 000-words document.
However, since Trados Editor has an integrated identifier for working with mixed-source language files (languages are detected automatically when placing the cursor in the segment), this same identifier could be added to the Advance Filter, to easily separate paragraphs that need translation and avoid leaving them undone.
As a user, I consider this option very important and necessary!!!!
2. this feature could be also useful for TM maintenance. Since it is impossible to control all segments saved in the TMs by all the users, there may be lots of segments ES-ES present in the EN-ES TM, for exampe (meaning, that the source file in English contained some phrases in Spanish and the translator, instead of skipping, confirmed them).
This issue seem to be "not critical", since these segments are actually "invisible" (never returned by Trados). BUT they affect the Autosuggest dictionaries quality (these DO provide responses in the same language) and, besides, with time, their number grows and they increase the TM size... in short, they are contaminating, so, it would be interesting to have this "filtering- cleaning task" for the TMs as well.
Best regards!
