Date format for target will be automatically picked in appropriate format, but still considering target language needs.

Translation of docx documents (MS Word): Do not change date field functions in the target file

With the new MS Word filetype 2007-2016 all field functions with a date get converted to the extended form including time. E. g. from { SAFEDATE  \@ "YYYY-MM"  \* MERGEFORMAT } or { SAFEDATE  \@ "YYYY"  \* MERGEFORMAT } to { SAFEDATE  \@ "dd MMMM yyyy HH:mm:ss"  \* MERGEFORMAT }. So for example 2017-07 in source document gets changed to 31. July 2017 11:20:00. This is obviously not wanted.

Changing settings in Windows or using Search & Replace is no option, because we have several field functions in one document, with different formats (e. g. YYYY-MM or just YYYY which are all changed to the same above long form.

In the filetype MS Word 2007-2013 it worked correctly, but that one no longer exists with SDL Trados 2017 SP1.

Please just leave the field functions just the way, they are in the source document.
