Use a file attribute as a column in the Trados Studio Files View Window

In Trados Studio, you can view all of the files in a particular project. As part of the functionality, you can Customize the File details layout. There are several columns listed in 5 general areas (Analysis, confirmation, File assignment, General, Package).

My idea is to use a file attribute as one of the columns to display in the "File Details Layout". For example, we have created a file attribute called "fileTitle", which we want to display in the "File Details Layout" so we can sort on the column.

  • This is particularly important when attributes are included in the project packages downloaded from WorldServer that contain important metadata about files that Translators want to see in their Files view in Trados so that they know what to do or how to prioritize their work on those files.
