Use of Windows convention keys

It would be useful if SDL used the Windows conventions for keys.

 

The Escape key should work to exit any dialog or dropdown or otherwise. I repeatedly hit the Escape key to exit a dialog thinking there is something wrong with the key, only to realise its non-operative in the dialog.  Having to know the menu letter for a keystroke combination in each dialog is unrealistic.

 

Shift+ Delete in Windows cuts + Shift+Ins pastes

 

The keyboard letters do not match the Windows ones. This is abhorrent.

  • The standard Windows combinations for Cut, Copy and Paste are Ctrl+X, C and V respectively.

    Ctrl+A is select all in Windows. I couldn't figure out why it didn't work in the filter field in the Review tab in the Editor.

    Yes please, could we get such standard keys to work in Studio. Otherwise it's completely hopeless to figure out how to perform basic operations.
