Not considering this for now as this has too many intricate implications at this stage.

XLIFF Import for TMs

In addition to allowing an SDLTM to be updated with the contents of a TMX, TTX, ITD, SDLXLIFF, it would be a nice enhancement to increase support for XLIFF in general and allow the import of a correctly formed XLIFF into the translation memory directly.

How exactly we will decide that XLIFF is correctly formed? In XLIFF 1.2 the rules are not strict enough and creators usually get very creative in ways they push content into XLIFF.
