SDL TMS 12.5 allows export and import of Cost Models to a Microsoft Excel workbook.

Allow imports of cost models

Doing data entry on cost models inside TMS is very time consuming. Would like to see an import process.

Navigate to cost model

Click a link to download the latest cost model template in Excel

Fill out the cost model with new rates offline

Navigate back to the cost model in TMS

Click an Upload Template button

Browse to the template I just filled out and upload

This approach would be very helpful when making a large number of updates.

Hi,

It is already available by using custom browser called MEAT created by one of PS's.

It can be downloaded from confluence page, there is a lot of useful plug-ins.

But still that kind of option would could be available in TMS by default.

I agree that the current UI for cost models is quite difficult to use. This sounds like a great idea.

Hi Jeff. Thanks for raising your idea with SDL. We do already have an item in our backlog (ref: TMS-4103) to allow import of a spreadsheet or CSV file so I'll link your idea to that ticket and updates should come from our internal tracking through to the Ideas site.
