Thank you for submitting your idea to help us improve SDL TMS. In my head, I see this as a new attribute type field that allows you to specify a regular expression for acceptable input patterns. I'm going to put this under community review and see if it gains any traction with the community and whether there are any other thoughts around how this might be implemented.

It would be great to have the option to add an input mask for a given attribute. For example, an attribute called Purchase Order could have an input mask that requires the first two characters of the Attribute Value to be 'PO', the remaining characters should be numeric and no longer than 10 characters in length (for example.)
