This does seem like an eminently sensible idea given that a cancelled task cannot be recovered.

Warn before cancelling multiple tasks/projects/project groups

On several occasions now my users have cancelled a task without realizing that the box next to another project group/project/task off the screen was also ticked, resulting in the inadvertent deletion of the hidden item.

Maybe a window asking user to confirm deletion of multiple projects groups/projects/tasks could be implemented to help avoid this.
