Add an administrator CCMS report

Proposed changes for Web Client > Event Log Tab:

It would be VERY nice to have a page in the webclient that reported the following information:

  • Disk usage. Specifically, disk space remaining. This would help admins with the occasional problem where drives fill up either from a looping publication error (we had this happen several times) or just accumulation of CCMS log files.
  • Requests per second. This would help admins understand how heavily the CCMS is being trafficked.
  • Error rates. If the CCMS or servers are generating errors, it would be extremely useful to be alerted to changes in the error rates.
  • Average response times/peak response times. It would be helpful to visualize changes in server response times and to compare ART vs. PRT. This would allow admins to identify problems in server connectivity (between the app, batch, and database servers). Right now, we are completely unable to do obtain that data without the assistance of a network engineer or another IT professional. Without this information, it is very difficult for admins to make a case to management that a problem exists that deserves attention/resources. In a broader sense, understanding patterns in CCMS server traffic would also allow admins to determine the best times for maintenance tasks (log file archival, OT updates, etc).
  • CPU/Memory utilization. For some admins, this might be useful to make a case for upgrading hardware.
