We’d like to request a feature enhancement for the Oxygen Connector:
An option to search based on the baseline version in a publication, rather than defaulting to the latest version of a topic.
Business Need:
Our writers frequently need to branch topics during the authoring process. When working within a publication tied to a specific baseline, they often need to search for and reference content within that baseline, not the latest version. The current behavior makes it difficult to locate the correct version of a topic, leading to confusion and inefficiencies.
Proposed Enhancement:
Add a toggle or setting in the Oxygen Connector to allow users to:
- Search for topics based on the baseline version associated with the publication.
- Filter results to show only content relevant to the selected baseline.
ROI & Impact:
- Improved accuracy in content reuse and referencing.
- Reduced time spent manually locating branched versions.
- Minimized errors from referencing incorrect topic versions.
- Enhanced user experience for writers working in complex documentation workflows.
This feature would significantly streamline workflows for teams managing multiple branches and baselines, and help ensure consistency across published content.
Thank you for considering this request!
