Integration to PDM and PLM

Many PDM systems like Teamcenter offers tight integration between the CMS and PDM. Having DITA topics connected to the Bill of Material would enable update triggering when the product is changed. Citec as an SDL partner have so far solved this with a custom made integration solution.

  • We are in the process of planning integration to Teamcenter. The business case is in change management, every change initiated in design or on component level will be reviewed to ensure content, Topic, is up to date. A proven and very cost effective process and therefore big PDM providers like PTC and Siemens are making their ccms with out of the box integration.

  • It would be nice to see the use cases you are solving through this integration and share a bit more details on how the integration works. Which PDM did you connect to?
