Not Considering

The product has the capability to cancel a Translation Job with a File system translation template that has a status export completed.

You need to use the "Cancel" action on the required Translation Job.

Translation Organizer service requires time to process the action on the translation job and update the statuses for the corresponding document objects.

So action is not applied immediately.

The issue with "Cancel" not being available in Tridion Docs 15.2 will be fixed in Tridion Docs 15.2 Update 1.

Option to reset translation job and language versions

We need an option to reset/stop a translation job after it has been exported from Tridion Docs, so that the language versions are set back to "to be translated". We need to create a new job again so that it is created correctly, and for that the same objects need to be exported again.

Right now we had two cases where our custom integration to our TMS did not work, and I had to delete the "in translation" language versions manually (using the search, but still error-prone), so that we could start a second job and get the all  the necessary objects in the export.

A "reset" button, that could be hidden behind a 3-dot-menu for example, could be a help to "undo" the translation process so far (ideally also deleting the resulting files from the FTP, but that is more of a bonus).

  • Hello  and  ,
The product has the capability to cancel a Translation Job with a File system translation template that has a status export completed.

Translation Organizer service requires time to process the action on the translation job and update the statuses for the corresponding document objects.

The only version where "Cancel" for an exported translation job is not available is Tridion Docs 15.2.

However, this issue is addressed and will be released as part of Tridion Docs 15.2 Update 1.

  • Hi  , sorry I did not mention it -- we are on 15.2 already and therefore don't have the cancel option anymore :)

Good to know it is coming back though! Looking forward to 15.2.1
