Show the latest released version or branch when opening a publication in Publication Manager

Currently, when opening a publication in Publication Manager, it lists only the latest released version in the repository. To open a branch, you must click the elipse in the bottom left hand corner, then choose the branch to open. Can the branch be the default version that appears in the Version column of the repository, instead of having to click the elipse? The label for the "Version" column can be changed to "Version/Branch".

  • Hello  ,

    Thank you for your idea.

The purpose of the branch is to correct errors for already released publications.

For example, if someone finds errors in a publication that has already been released, you can branch it and correct the branch. This allows users to continue working on the latest version while you make corrections to the older, branched content.

So I think that versions are the main objects of interest and the last available is preselected since I suppose that recent changes will be done in a recent available version.

I am trying to say that selecting a branch is an exceptional case while version selection is common for users.

Although I do understand your request, I also see a possible user confusion in case the branch for the latest available version will be preselected.

Could you please share a bit more use case that you trying to solve with the proposed changes?

    Thank you
