Provide support for the display and insertion of DITA keys in Content Editor. DITA keys are a very powerful mechanism for supporting variable content in reused content between publications. DITA keys allow for variable content at many levels, including submaps, topics, images, content chunks, and keywords (so they are much more varied and capable than Tridion Docs "Variables" functionality). Tridion Docs Content Editor does not display keys in topics that are opened in the editor. Please enhance Content Editor so that when a user opens a topic, the user can select the "context" of the topic, where "context" is one of the maps in which the topic is used and thus one of the maps in which any keyrefs used in the topic have their keys defined. Additionally, please add "Keys" functionality to the Reuse Content menu so that users can insert keyrefs to any keys that are defined in the context/map that is selected by the user.
Both oXygen and Xmetal provide functionality to support the display and insertion of keys but without support for keys in Content Editor then SDL is the limiting factor in implementing a key-based content reuse strategy.
Thanks for your consideration!
