Not Considering

Would like to be able to add notes to a publication in Publication Manager.

These would be notes to the current writer or future writers working on the publication. Examples are notes about conditions that need to be applied, topics that are being shared between the current publication and other publications, and so on. I think another pane in the lower-left part of the display, below the TOC, would be a good place for notes. Or perhaps a new "Notes" tab, including a number in parentheses that indicates the number of notes saved, so the writer can easily see that notes have been saved for the publication.

  • Although a work-around: you could create a "notes" topic and add it as a resource to the publication. Like this, the *notes* topic will not appear in the published output, it is (or can be) specific to the publication. One drawback is that the *notes* topic also needs to be released, when you want to release your publication, but then again I think this is fine because like this you can also track changes in your notes across different versions of the publication
