In future release custom columns functionality will become available in all item selectors including filtering and sorting.

Add SCHEMA to the Item selector in Experience Space

Hi, when adding a component to a page, for us most essential information is NAME and SCHEMA. We have been solving this 'problem' for decades by adding prefixes in the NAME of a component. But with the nice custom columns in Experience Space, that is no longer needed. If only you could add SCHEMA as a standard column in the Item Selector view. Hopefully my screenshot explains best:

  • Hi Vanessa,

As mentioned above custom columns functionality will become available in the item selectors. Would displaying the schema column in the page item selector as mentioned above for now solve your challenge?

  • Hi Danielle,

having the complete custom columns functionality would of course be great, but I can imagine it to be an XXL user story? We usually don't have that big amount of components in folders (mostly grouped in a folder per page or shared generic content-type), so searching/filtering -while inserting a component on a page or as a component link- is less relevant for us. Adding SCHEMA for now, sounds like a smaller effort which will solve the most obvious need?
