Advanced Search "Modified By" query

Right now if you do the new Advanced Search in 10.1.1, there is an option to search on based on who created it by setting the "Created By" field.  It would be more useful if there was another dropdown so that users could specify a "Modified By" field.

I understand that filtering the result set could be an option, but it would be more natural to do it in the initial query.

  • +1, I like this! Content can last years and even decades to where the original creator of an item just isn't that relevant. And sometimes content is created automatically but then managed by people.

    This even came up way back when we were considering the welcome screens in the old new (Carbon) UI and we discussed how "Modified By" would be more interesting that "Created By." Ultimately you want to know who "owns" a piece of content, but that's a whole other idea!

  • We wanted to include this field in 10.1.1, but the impact would have been too high for an incremental update (it would require database changes and full re-indexing). This ideas submission is a good reminder for us to consider it for the next full release.
