Good idea. I'm not sure it's practical to directly copy to the clipboard, as most browsers have disabled programmatic clipboard access as a security measure. What does work is to put the relevant text into a text box and highlight it, which makes copy and paste very simple. An example of this technique is the share link on stack exchange questions.
