Update: Though this is a great idea, this specific request is currently not planned based on our program planning and prioritization of all Tridion Sites ideas for early 2018. We may revisit this and other great ideas based on more information and additional votes.

Enable insight in a page's referers in Content Manager..

In my case, I could imagine this being feed by (extracts of) access logs copied to a share or 'postoffice' kind of directory by a batch job after which they would get imported.

I discussed this with Bart Koopman by e-mail and he asked me to add this suggestion here.

Would this be external referers to a given page? And would this be to help the back-office editors or for display on the website?

This seems like something that might fit a DXA module and/or GUI extension. Have you seen the examples on Alchemy yet? For example the Google Analytics Reporting example might help with this type of insight. www.alchemywebstore.com/.../GoogleAnalyticsReporting

We'll likely revisit giving editor more insights on their pages, but aggregating specific types of logs might not be in scope or would be implementation-specific since each website may bring its own web analytics and web application logging.
