Currently there is no plan to support SVG as an image. You can raise a ticket asking operations to add SVG as an allowed file type for files so you can upload a SVG as a file.

Support for SVG file format in Media Manager

We would like to be able to use SVG images in Tridion, via Media Manager. 

Basic support would enable an SVG file to be uploaded to Media Manager as an image (or a file), and then used as the source for an image component in Tridion. Also the ability to output the SVG's source code inline on a web page would also be useful - this would allow for animation and interactivity on the page.

  • This is a common request. SVG was released in 2001, and Media Manager isn't a 17-year-old product.

    I'd like to understand the technical reasons for why Media Manager can't support a file type that was released during the first term of the second Bush administration.
