I'm happy to announce that Language Weaver Edge 8.6.5.2 has been released and is now available from our download servers.

This version is a Hot Fix Accumulator (HFA) release, introducing multiple hotfixes on top of Language Weaver Edge 8.6.5.1

This HFA can be deployed on top of any 8.x previous installation as an upgrade.

Enhancements

• Added an Admin option in the Translations settings to specify a separate purge time for Edited Translations

• Added an Admin option in the Translations settings to enable PDF output restrictions for read-only and preventing copying of content

• Added an Admin option in the Translations settings to allow adding the Watermark text as a background for supported formats: MS Word

• Added a column in the Translation Queue page to indicate the "Time Until Purged"

• Upgraded internal RabbitMQ TLS connections from TLS 1.2 to 1.3

• Disabled weak TLS ciphers when using TLS 1.2 for external client connections

• Upgraded the C# Embedded library SDK to .NET Core 8.0

• Enabled translation of image text names and descriptions in MS Office documents

• Kubernetes: Allowed users to configure the name of the service account before deploying with Helm

• Kubernetes: Allowed fine-grained configuration of security contexts

• Kubernetes: Allowed configuration of TLS certificate and private key using a Kubernetes secret

• Kubernetes: Added a basic readiness probe to all containers

• Kubernetes: Added support for Edge Cloud

Fixes

• On the Deployments page, included any running Edge Cloud and Audio Transcription Engines in the collapsed view

• Allowed submission of jobs to Translation Engines that are in the starting state

• Allowed the expiration date for the ABBYY PDF converter to be different from the overall Edge License expiration date

• On the Translate page, sorted the Source & Target languages based on the user’s localized language

• Supported upload of zipped training data from Windows when it uses Deflate64

• Reset a user’s role if their SAML/LDAP role becomes unassigned

• Prevented dictionary matches within URLs and Emails

• Fixed failing KorEng adaptation on Windows due to large model size

• Lowered memory usage (regression) on some LPs

• Fixed dictionary matching of entries that contain punctuation

• Fixed wrong LP being used on the Translate page when a Profile that has a set Language Model is used
