I'm happy to announce that Language Weaver Edge 8.6.5.3 has been released and is now available from our download servers.

This version is a Hot Fix Accumulator (HFA) release, introducing multiple hotfixes on top of Language Weaver Edge 8.6.5.2

This HFA can be deployed on top of any 8.x previous installation as an upgrade.

Enhancements

• Added an option to set PDF as the output type for Word translated documents, in the Translate page and Profile settings.

• Disabled printing for PDF outputs that have restricted permissions.

• Validated support for Windows Server 2025

• Kubernetes: Added support for the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Module and Transcription Engines.

• Kubernetes: Allow pods to run using any UID.

Fixes

• Fixed Transcription Engines startup failure after an upgrade, due to a missing "capabilities" configuration.

• Fixed occasional improper alignment of text in Word and Excel files causing text to be shifted to wrong position.

• Fixed improper segmentation of words separated by a period.

• Prevent extra spaces from being added to the beginning of paragraphs for Chinese and Japanese translations to English.

• Return source segment instead of a blank segment if unable to translate it.

• Fixed missing entries for Fluent Terminology and Case Sensitivity in exported Dictionaries.

• Fixed Language Detection timeout when using an LP chain that has a Translation Engine configured with a minimum of 0 PUs.

• Security fix for the golang.org/x/crypto library: CVE-2024-45337.
