Language Weaver 8.6.5.4 has been released

Hi all,

I'm happy to announce that Language Weaver Edge 8.6.5.4 has been released and is now available from our download servers.

This version is a Hot Fix Accumulator (HFA) release, introducing multiple hotfixes on top of Language Weaver Edge 8.6.5.3.

This HFA can be deployed on top of any 8.x previous installation as an upgrade.

Enhancements

  • Added SRT as a supported format for transcription and translation.
  • Added a new monitoring chart and metric for the Translation Engine Rate Limit Percentage, which can be used to monitor the PU utilization.
  • Added an Edit Created column on the Translation Queue page to indicate edited jobs.
  • Added support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10 and openSUSE Leap 15.6.

Fixes

  • Fixed jobs getting stuck in the created state when the source language is set to Auto-detect and the detected language matches the target language.
  • Fixed translation of files named with capitalized extensions when contained in ZIP archives.
  • Fixed incorrect dynamic PU assignment for engines that have their minimum set to 0, when two or more engines for the same LP are deployed.
  • Improved the labeling and coloring of PU assignments for engines on the Deployment page.
  • Fixed transcribing audio files failing when the output format is set to VTT.
  • Fixed improper UI labeling on the Monitoring page when selecting different engines on various charts.
  • Fixed Edge Cloud engine metrics reporting high WPM values even when they are not processing any translation requests.
  • Fixed slow batch deletion of jobs in the thousands which would sometimes cause the request to timeout.
  • Fixed splitting in the UI label text for Linguistic Options that contained commas, e.g., for the number formatting option for the English > Spanish language pair.
