I'm happy to announce that Language Weaver Edge 8.7.0.4 has been released and is now available from our download servers.

Release overview

Language Weaver Edge 8.7.0.4 is a Hot fix accumulator (HFA) release, introducing multiple hotfixes on top of Language Weaver Edge 8.7.0.3. The HFA can be deployed on top of any Language Weaver Edge 8.x previous installation as an upgrade.

Enhancements

• Optimized and reduced CPU and Memory usage for large PDF->PDF translations with more than 100 pages.

  • Note that the Feedback Editor will not be available for PDFs with more than 100 pages.

Fixes

• Fixed excessive CPU usage on the controller when there are many active UI users.

• Fixed failure when translating PDF->PDF on Windows.

• Fixed incorrect value shown for the Multilingual Maximum Detected Languages option in the Settings > Translations page.

• Fixed occasional output file corruption for translated MS Excel input.

• Fixed security vulnerability for the Golang module: CVE-2025-61729 (no known exploit for LW Edge).

Are new licenses required for this version upgrade?

A new license is only required if you are upgrading from a previous major or minor release.

Since this is a Hot fix accumulator release, licenses generated for Language Weaver Edge 8.7.x previous releases are still valid for this version.
