SDL Machine Translation Edge 8.5.1 has been released

Hi all,

I'm happy to announce that SDL MT Edge 8.5.1 has been released and is now available from our download servers.

This version is a patch release that contains the following fixes and improvements:

  • Performance optimization of user lookups during API authentication checks (add missing database index)
  • Allow support to filter for a specific LP variant (model or version) on the Feedback page
  • Add filtering support on the Adapted LPs page
  • Add multi-items select support on the Adapted LPs, Dictionaries and Feedback page
  • Add filtering support on the Users page
  • Fix infrequent failure that may occur when adding a new worker node in the Deployment Management page
  • Fix invalid auto-detection translation jobs that would be created with invalid chained LPs, when chaining was disabled
  • Prevent neurobabble caused by long comma separated lists in translated text
  • Cleanup and delete the temporary Adapted LP training directory from the Controller host once the adaptation completes successfully.
  • Cleanup temporary leftover PDF files on MTE startup or uninstall
  • Prevent creation of duplicate feedback entries and return an informational visual message when this occurs
  • Add manual configuration option to allow the ability for Admins to be able to view/download any users job(s)
  • TLS 1.2 is enabled by default and TLS 1.1 is disabled

If you are already using MT Edge 8.5, you can safely upgrade to 8.5.1 and no new license is needed.

Direct upgrade from other 8.X previous releases is supported, but a MT Edge 8.5 license will be required. The new license can be requested through your gateway account, and it can be generated based on your current myhosts.json file (there is no need to wait for the upgrade to be done to get the license generated - we can generate the license in advance so it can be available when the upgrade is performed).

Please let us know if you have any question,

Thanks!
