Trados Business Manager – End of Life Announcement

Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

  • End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
  • Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
  • Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
  • Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

After installing TBM on Windows Server 2016 Essentials, C:\inetpub directory disappeared what caused Remote Web Workplace services to fail.

Has this already happened and do you have any idea how to fix it?

  • Hi Pawel,

Sorry for delay! I'm also confused and absolutely have no idea why such thing may happen. In my experience (few years) this never happened. And there is no any code in TBM which deletes folders. Except one - when you create a job, it creates a folder for a job according to a template specified in settings (default is c:\translate\jobs...). Then users uploads a file and then cancels job creation. In this case TBM deletes that job folder. But I doubt that you have configured TBM in a manner when files are stored in C:\inetpub\default web site folder.

I also can offer to create temp admin account for me on your server, so I can login and install TBM there. If that's ok, we can contact privately, and share necessary details.

Because otherwise, I really can't suggest what has happened.
