Trados Business Manager – End of Life Announcement

Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

  • End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
  • Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
  • Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
  • Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

Automatic reminder email and adding vendor groups directly in the assignment candidate

Hi Eugene,

I would like to know if such features are available in the near future:

- Automatic reminder emails to be sent to vendors/clients to urge them to take some actions (e.g. vendors fail to deliver the translation by the set deadline)
- Adding a vendor group directly (instead of indiviudual vendors) in the Assignment Candidates Section

Also, there might be some potential bugs here:

- In the Notification (spelling issue) list, when I create a new notification and click User field, a blank page pops up:

- In the Assignment candidate section, when I send a Vendor quote request, it seems that the respective vendor does not receive any notification and the page for them to take the quote action.

    I understand that the support for this product is diminishing after a recent announcement was released last month, but our Company invested quite a lot on it and would ask for an important favor from you regarding the following important feature: scheduled automatic notification (via in-app notification or an emai), specifically:

    - Schedule automatic reminder emails (which can be cancelled by me anytime) to be sent to vendors/clients to urge them to take some actions (for example an reminder email/notification in a customized template will be sent to a vendor 1 day before the deadline, another to be sent when the deadline is reached but no delivery has been made by the vendor, but if the delivery is made, such scheduled email/notification should be automatically disabled)

    This will definitely help us much. Looking forward to hearing from you!
