Two problems: Impossible to add several projects from the same client in the same invoice and Duplicate projects

I find it impossible to create one invoice including several projects from the same client with same currency in Business Manager Lite, is there an explanation? How should I proceed?

On another subject, if I create a project in Business Manager Lite before creating the project in Studio, I get 2 projects for the same job, even if I add the path to the Studio project aftewards. Is there a way to avoid this without changing everything manually?  I would like to be able to enter the general information about the project in a first step and then create the Studio project later, and not proceed the other way around.

  • Hello, Laure,

Unfortunately we have to confirm that there is a bug. I tested it now multiple times. In one case selection of multiple projects with following creation of invoice worked, in other cases it didn't work - I only got one of selected projects in an invoice.

As temp solution, we can create invoice over one project, and then use Add SDL Trados Project(s) button in the invoice editing window.

Very interesting suggestion. I didn't think about such case. When you create a project manually, and then in Studio, sync function indeed creates duplicate project.. Can't imagine how this could be avoided.. By comparing project names? But what if two separate projects indeed have identical names. However, after specifying project path in a custom project it's indeed possible to automatically determine existing duplicate. Have to think how to solve this issue. Taking into account that first bug with invoices should be solved quickly, could be great to include solution fo the second problem in upcoming update as well.

  • Hi Eugene,

Thank you for the quick answer!

Concerning invoicing, I have tried adding the projects in the invoice window, it doesn't seem to work. I only get the 1st project in the invoice rows, and I need to delete one to add the other... I have also noticed that the quantities (I would like to use mean volume) and amounts do not always match with the ones in the projects window, which means I should correct each row manually.

About duplicates, I will go for the easiest way and begin with the Studio project.

Hope to hear soon about the fixes... ;-)
