Unexpected error during backup creation.

Hello everybody one more time ...

Guys ... This is strange ... After installing BaccS 5 (this is installed on a VMware virtual machine) ... I am not able to get my auto-BACKUP ...

If I do that clicking the BackUp button, I get this error:

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'Unexpected error during backup creation. System blocked database file from copying.' with options to run a separate task in the background.

I did check the Automatic BackUp folder ... and it looks OK ... Why then it is not working ???

Worse than this ... BaccS asks me if I want to perform an action when I close the program, I say "YES", a terminal opens BUT, after closing the program ... still NO ANY BackUp ...

What to check in order to solve this ???

Thank You a lot!

Pietro

  • I see ...
Yes, I am on Mac, using VMware! And I am very happy with this ...

About this problem, at first I thought it was a Permission problem ... I checked many different folders in the Virtual Win10 OS and it is not possible to change permissions. They are all set to "Read only" ...

BUT ... this is not the problem it seems ... because unfortunately I am not even able to create backups on the DESKTOP. I was thinking to write to the VMware support, but if it doesn't write on desktop ... that is no matter ...

    More than this:

    Have a look ...

Screenshot showing a file explorer window with a folder named BACCS_BACKUPS containing three .bak files. A note indicates confusion as the files appear in Windows but are not found in any location, including hidden files.

So, basically ... I will do BackUp MANUALLY ... Old Style! ... Smiley
