Trados Business Manager – End of Life Announcement

Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

  • End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
  • Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
  • Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
  • Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

Activation of Business Manager Lite after HD change

As I didn't change PC but only the HD. That's why I "forgot" to desactivate my Business Manager Lite license (same for Studio) before. Problem is that when I want to edit more than 8 quotes, I get a message telling that I'm in demo mode. Unfortunately the Activation button doesn't work (nothing happens when I click on it).

I tried to perform an offline desactivation but this didn't work neither?

What can I do?

    Yes, I'm using 2021. I saw the update just after writing the question.
    Unfortunately its not possible to install this update. I get an error message "Plug-in can't be found" (in French on my computer ;-)

    Need some more help!

    Thanks for reporting this.... we're working on it.  We went through a massive migration of our data centre to a new location at the weekend and are finding the odd problem here and there.  One of them is the inability to load large plugins like this to the appstore.  So I pointed to the ftp address that is also in your account, but this is also a potential problem and we are moving away from ftp shortly because of this.

    So, in the meantime you could also try downloading this version from your SDL account.  It is the same one.  You may have a problem with your browser as this is also ftp but using a different browser will probably help.  Chrome is the most advanced in denying ftp at the moment and they seem to be rolling their restrictions out gradually so one day it'll work and the next it won't!
