How to input cuved apostrophes & French quotation mark in Online Editor of Trados Enterprise

I got the question from customer as below:

"1. How to do cuved apostrophes & French quotation marks on Trados?! I do remembered the previous versions of Trados directly changed to the FR one after manually adding a space at the end of the segment It will save more time since I have to copy and paste for each part requiring such action, thanks!"

  • Hi Jack - since Online Editor is browser-based, the AutoCorrect options are a bit different. You can use the Insert Symbol functionality to put curly apostrophes/French quotation marks. It's interesting to use the Trados Copilot for this kind of question now - it might also be able to help. (It might also be possible to install AutoCorrect plug-ins in your browser to automatically change such characters - but I found them to be a bit unreliable and not working exactly as they should, but might be worth researching a bit more deeply.).

Screenshot of Trados Copilot with a conversation. A user asks how to insert French quotation marks in Online Editor. The AI responds with keyboard shortcuts for Windows and Mac devices, and provides links to learn more about shortcuts in TM Maintenance Editor and Trados Online Editor.
