Problem importing TM into Trados Studio 2022

Question

I am trying to import a TM from my desktop version of Trados Studio 2022 into Trados Studio Cloud. The TM on the desktop has 38,920 units, but only 14,999 get imported. It is an SDLTM file of 232MB, so well within size limits. Two smaller TMs have imported 100% OK. 
 What can I do? I don't want to split the TM and then have to maintain multiple TMs for the rare occasions on which I use Cloud not desktop.

Did you try to export the file based TM into TMX and import it into newly created TM in Studio - to me it looks like your TM has a lot of duplicates which are merged during import.

Number only segments or variables will be merged. I'm pretty sure you didn't lose anything. Studio and Cloud TMs are the same underlying technology, so nothing was lost, just merged. So don't be discouraged by the lower number. You can have ease of mind, by taking the same TMX and creating a new TM in Studio and importing it there, I'm pretty sure you will get the same lower number as in the Cloud.
