I bought one perpetual licence of Trados 2024, and want to install it on two computers for non simultaneous use "without having to deactivate/activate every time I switch between computers".
My understanding is that I can do this with a perpetual licence.
But I cannot install this perpetual licence on the second computer.
I had no problem switching between computers with Trados 2019.
What am I missing?

Thank you for your post. It seems you used to have a Freelance Plus, the Plus, means that you got an extra activation with the same license code, so you could have the license activated on two computers. I believe the perpetual license you have now it is only Trados Studio 2024 Freelance, simple, without the Plus.
So there would be two options:
1. Upgrade to Trados Studio Freelance Plus from the Trados Store.
2. Get a Subscription license for 12 months, that you can switch between computers, but you will need to deactivate it on one computer, and then activate it again on the second computer, but it is very simple, see this article:https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000013347
