Wordpress WPMLconnector to Trados Team Cloud

We have a Trados Team tenant in the EU region (URL: https://eu.cloud.trados.com).
We’re trying to connect WordPress WPML via the “RWS Language Cloud TMS” translation service.

In Trados Team we created a dedicated user and application and we’re entering the following into WPML:
– Username: <our Trados Team user>
– Password: <user password>
– Client ID / Client Secret: <from the Application in Trados Team>

However, WPML always returns “Authentication failed” and we cannot log in to https://cloud.trados.com/cp (or https://eu.cloud.trados.com/cp) with the same account either.

Could you please:

  1. Confirm that our tenant has Language Cloud TMS / Customer Portal and the WPML connector enabled?

  2. Either enable the necessary API scopes for WPML, or provide us with official credentials (username/password + client_id/client_secret) that are known to work with the WPML connector.

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific error messages or codes received during the authentication process, and clarify if any troubleshooting steps have already been attempted.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

To address the issue you're experiencing with connecting WordPress WPML to Trados Team Cloud, please follow these steps:

**Step 1:** Verify that your Trados Team tenant has the Language Cloud TMS and Customer Portal enabled. You may need to check with your account administrator or RWS Support for confirmation.

**Step 2:** Ensure that the API scopes necessary for WPML are enabled. This is crucial for the integration to work properly.

**Step 3:** Double-check the credentials you are entering into WPML. Make sure that the username, password, Client ID, and Client Secret are all correct. Remember that the username does not necessarily have to be your email address.

**Step 4:** If you are still facing authentication issues, try resetting your password or generating new API credentials. You can do this by logging into the Language Cloud account and navigating to the API Credentials section.

**Step 5:** If the problem persists, check for any firewall or network configurations that might be blocking the connection. Ensure that the necessary URLs are whitelisted in your firewall settings.

**Step 6:** If you have access to the Trados Team account, try logging in directly to the Customer Portal using the same credentials to confirm they are working.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please provide any specific error messages you receive during the authentication process, as this will help in diagnosing the problem further.
