TM indexation problems when sharing via OneDrive

Hi,
Thanks to all who will be able and willing to help.

Me an my associate work together on a client. We have one single TM that we use in turns.
Such TM is stored in a OneDrive folder.

Every time one of us uses this TM, afterward the other will find that the TM requires a full indexation and maintenance, as if the entire content of the TM (over 50.000 TUs) had just been imported from scratch.
I suppose this is because, sharing it via cloud, it is as if a brand new file is created. However, this didn't used to happen using Dropbox, or at least we didn't notice it.

Is there any solution to avoid this issue?

OFC, having separate personal copies of the TM is not a solution.

TIA for any help anyone could provide.

  • Hi

These issues are very difficult to diagnose, but as a solution would it be possible to copy your single TM to a local drive when using it and copying it back to OneDrive when you are finished?
I think that would resolve the syncing issues.
As for comparing OneDrive and Dropbox, in my personal experience syncing is much faster with Dropbox.
From what I heard, Dropbox only copies the part of the file that needs to be updated while OneDrive has to copy the entire file again (I am not sure how true this is though but you can find articles on the internet claiming this). So, this is why you may have not noticed on Dropbox.
