TMs dont work with Tibetan. Any suggestion please?

My TMs and Termbase don't work with Tibetan at all.

I setup a TM that is Tibetan China and Tibetan Indian as source and target to test both flavours. It worked for me as expected.

Trados Studio Translation Memory and Document Settings window showing Tibetan (China) as Source Language and Tibetan (India) as Target Language with a created translation memory named 'Tibetan.sdltm'.

When opening a file and saving translations into the TM's they are responding as expected.

What version of Trados are you using?
Did your resources come for legacy software/versions that you imported in, or is this something that was working and all of a sudden stopped?

Im trying to better understand what you mean Tibetan is not being supported.

    • Are their issues enabling Tibetan resources to your projects, as I show in my screen print?
    • Are they not showing results/updating when in the editor view?
    • Or is it the way the content is being displayed when in the Editor view?

Could you please try explain in detail what you are experiencing?

To confirm if you decide to look at the languages codes used, Studio seems to respond to bo-CN | o-IN

I hope some of this helps and I am looking forward to your confirmation

  • Dear Lyds, thank you very much for your quick response. I am under work with Tibetan (India) as source and Vietnamese as target. I use Trados 2021. Tibetan scripts display well as source. But when it comes to TM and Termbase for reference and lookup, it doesn't work at all as though it couldn't recognize the source.
