Alignment error

Hello all,

We are facing a problem with alignment.

The problem arises when trying to create an alignment project with word files (both .doc and .docx). After following all the necessary steps by adding TM and files and clicking finish, the following error appears:

Error message in SDL Trados Studio software stating 'Failed to open 31992_2001_FINALCHECK_31992_2001_FINALCHECK_EN.sdlalign'. It suggests the document is not bilingual since 'tw4winMark' style is not defined.

We have downloaded the “tw4winClean” plugin but the problem remains even with the cleaned files.

We have also set all the necessary settings in File Options (File | Options | File Types) for all versions of Microsoft Word files as follows:

SDL Trados Studio File Options window showing 'Process files with tw4winMark style' option checked under Microsoft Word 2007-2019 Styles settings.SDL Trados Studio File Types window displaying 'tw4winMark' listed under Non-translatable styles with an option to convert to inline tag.

The same error keeps popping up.

Please note that when an alignment project is set up on another computer (a computer that doesn’t show the error and works as usual), it can be opened and worked on by the computer under question. The problem is only found during the creation of the alignment project.

Additionally, on the same computer, when attempting to create a translation project with xliff files created by alignment, the following error occurs when trying to open all the files together, both in translation and review views (the files open separately without problem).

Error dialog box stating 'Cannot merge files. One or more of the SDLXLIFF files does not support merging. Open each file individually instead.'

Any help would be really welcome!

Thanks in advance
