Upgrade to 2024 Trados

Hi

1. I just wonder if there are any chance to upgrade my 2022 version to 2024 version for free.

2. At my company, I can't use the internet on my main computer for security reasons. Is there any way to use the cloud  function of Trados?

I installed Trados offline and used it as an offline version, but the file extraction failed after creating the glossary. It seems that Trados conflicts with my security program. Is there any way to use Trados efficiently in this case?

    I'll take each question at a time:

    1. No, you cannot upgrade Trados 2022 to Trados 2024 for free, you purchased Trados 2022 two years ago, and you don't have an active support and maintenance contract which offers this option.

    2. You cannot use a Cloud based product without internet - it implies having an internet connection in order to be able to Login in a browser and use it. Also, you have Trados Studio 2022 Freelance which is a version of the software that works on LAN (local area network) networks only, you cannot use Freelance on a domain-based network (corporate).

    3. If a security program or an antivirus blocks Trados, you need to add Trados to the security program as a safe software so it won't block Trados. 

    However, the details you provided about this file extraction failure are too few, usually when a user encounters an error we need the error message and a screenshot if possible of the error with as many details about the steps taken before getting the error. If the error indicated that it's related to the security program, then you need to make adjustments to that program so it won't block Trados.
